Seat limits

Seats follow your tier, not your traffic step.

Seats follow your tier, not your traffic step. A Starter customer on the 10M step still has one seat. A Pro customer on the 50k step has thirty.

What counts as a seat

  • You, the owner. Always one seat.

  • Every accepted member, at any role — viewer included.

  • Every pending invitation, until it is accepted or cancelled.

Pending invitations counting is the one that surprises people. Three invitations out with one accepted is four seats used.

What does not count

  • Share link viewers. Unlimited on both tiers, no account, no seat. If someone only needs to look at a dashboard, this is the answer — see Public dashboards.

  • API keys. A key is not a person and does not consume a seat.

Starter has one seat, and that is you

You cannot invite anyone on Starter. If you need a colleague signed in as themselves, that means Pro.

Before you upgrade for that reason, check whether a share link does the job. A client, an investor or a co-founder who only reads the numbers needs no seat, and a link is scoped to one site rather than to everything.

The upgrade is worth it when someone needs to change things — add sites, manage exclusions, run the analytics day to day.

Hitting the limit

An invitation that would exceed your limit is refused, with a message saying how many seats your plan allows and offering the upgrade.

It is a clean refusal, not a partial one. Nobody is added and no half-created membership is left behind.

Freeing a seat

  • Remove a member. Frees immediately.

  • Cancel a pending invitation. Frees immediately.

  • Let an invitation expire. Frees when it expires.

Downgrading with too many members

Moving from Pro to Starter takes you from 30 seats to 1. Remove the extra members before the downgrade takes effect — which is at the end of your current period, not immediately.

See Changing plan, which lists the same check for sites and retention.

More than 10

Pro's 30 is the top of the ladder. If you need more, support@truestat.io is where to say so.
