Threads works differently from X, and the difference is worth understanding before you connect it.
Today this shows the connected account's own posts, not what other people say about you. Threads opens public search only to verified Tech Providers, and until that status is granted a search for your brand returns nothing — silently, with no error. We would rather write that here than let you conclude nobody is talking about you.
If you want mentions from strangers today, X does that.
What it does do
Once connected, posts from the connected account that mention your brand terms appear on your analytics timeline, at the moment they were published, beside the traffic of that day. For an account that posts about its own product, that is a real timeline of what we said, and what happened next.
Posts that tag the account are found too, through a separate part of the API that does work — so a reply or a tag reaches you even when keyword search cannot.
Connecting
Unlike X, this one does need your account: Threads has no application-level key, so the search runs as you.
Open the site's integrations
Settings → Integrations, then the Threads card, then Connect Threads.

Approve on Threads
Meta shows you what is being asked for. Three permissions: reading basic profile details, keyword search, and the list of posts that tag you.
Nothing here can post on your behalf — publishing permission is not requested.
Add the terms to watch
A connection with nothing to search for finds nothing, forever. Enter your handle and any brand terms.
Terms match case-insensitively and inside longer words. Note that Threads
takes one plain word at a time: multi-word phrases and full URLs find nothing,
so truestat works where https://truestat.io does not.
Where posts show up
On the analytics timeline, as an avatar with the Threads glyph, so a Threads post and an X post are distinguishable at a glance. Hovering shows the text; the link opens the post on Threads.

Threads posts never claim visitors. Threads exposes no way to search by URL, so a post here is something that was said, never something a visit is attributed to.
Disconnecting
Settings → Integrations → Disconnect deletes the token and stops all requests immediately.
Threads has no way for an app to withdraw its own permission, so the grant stays listed in your Threads account settings even after you disconnect. Removing it there is the complete revocation — and it tells us too, so the token is deleted at our end as well.
What we store
The access token, encrypted, and for each post found: its text, the author's username and profile picture, when it was published and its link. Posts are kept with your site's analytics and expire with your plan's retention period. Profile pictures are not copied — we keep the address Meta gives us, which expires on Meta's own schedule, so an older post may show initials instead of a face.
