screenshot coming

The dashboard with the "Now" preset selected, showing minute-grained buckets over the last 30 minutes and the "updated Xs ago" indicator beside the refresh button. Light theme, desktop.

What it shows

The last 30 minutes, in one-minute buckets.

It is the same dashboard as any other range — the same tiles, the same breakdowns, the same filters — just over a very short, moving window. There is no separate real-time screen.

How often it refreshes

It polls while the tab is in the foreground. The header shows how long ago the last refresh happened — "just now", "12s ago", "3m ago" — so you can always tell whether what you are looking at is current.

Polling pauses while the tab is in the background. When you come back, it refreshes.

You can force a refresh at any time with the refresh button beside the range picker, on any range, not only this one.

Granularity is fixed

Minute buckets, with no choice. Every other range lets you pick between hour, day, week and month; over thirty minutes there is nothing else sensible to offer.

Delay

A page view appears within a few seconds of happening. There is no batching window and no scheduled aggregation step — the event is written when it arrives and the next poll picks it up.

If nothing appears while you are actively loading pages of your own site, the likely reason is that you are excluded from your own numbers, which is usually what you asked for. See My own visits are being counted for both switches.

What is not here

There is no live visitor list — no table of who is on the site right now, what page they are on, or where they are. That is a deliberate omission rather than a missing feature: it requires exactly the per-person identity TrueStat is built without. See What we deliberately cannot do.

You get the aggregate, on every dimension the rest of the dashboard has.

Using it

Two things it is genuinely good for:

Confirming an install. Paste the tag, load your site, select Now. Your view appears within seconds and you have proof the whole path works.

Watching a launch. When a post lands somewhere, Now with the Referrers card underneath tells you where the traffic is coming from as it arrives.
