Billing

Invoices and payment methods

Payments are processed by Stripe.

The billing screens are being built. Payments run through Stripe and work today; the in-app billing page that lists invoices and lets you change your card is not finished. Until it ships, Stripe's emailed receipts are your record and billing@truestat.io can send you anything you need.

Payment methods

Payments are processed by Stripe. Card details are entered on Stripe's own form and are held by Stripe — they never reach our servers and we never store them.

Accepted: the major card networks Stripe supports in your country. Which alternative methods are available depends on your country and is decided at checkout.

Changing your card

Through the billing page once it ships, or by asking billing@truestat.io for a secure link.

Invoices

Every charge produces an invoice, emailed to the address on your account and listed on your billing page.

An invoice shows your actual price — the version you subscribed at — rather than today's list price. See If our price changes.

Invoices are retained for as long as tax law requires, separately from your analytics data. Deleting your account does not delete invoices; that retention is not something we can waive.

Billing details on the invoice

Company name, address and VAT or tax number can be set on your billing details and appear on every subsequent invoice.

Changing them does not reissue past invoices. If you need a past one corrected — you added a VAT number after your first payment, for example — write to billing@truestat.io and it can be reissued.

Tax

Tax is calculated at checkout based on your billing country and any tax number you provide, and is shown before you confirm. Where reverse charge applies, the invoice states it.

If a payment fails

Collection does not stop. Your subscription goes past-due, your dashboard keeps working, and your events keep being recorded while the payment is retried.

You will be emailed and asked to update your card. Stripe retries on its own schedule over the following days.

If it is still unpaid after the retries are exhausted, the subscription lapses and is treated like a cancellation — see Cancelling.

We do not stop collecting over an expired card. Losing a month of your data because your bank reissued your card would be an absurd outcome.

Refunds

A downgrade is not refunded — you keep what you paid for until the period ends. See Changing plan.

An upgrade is prorated, so you pay the difference for the remainder of the period rather than a full second charge.

For anything else — a charge you did not expect, a duplicate, a subscription you believed was cancelled — write to billing@truestat.io. We would rather refund a charge you did not mean to make than argue about it.

The email your invoices go to

The address on your account. To change it, change your account email in settings; future invoices follow.

If your accounts department needs a different address from your login, say so at billing@truestat.io — a separate billing contact is not settable in the app yet.
